We lived in a massive three-story 1878 Queen Anne Victorian for years raising our seven children. My husband, a guitar player who gave up his band when we had our first baby, sang a song on our home stage “I ain’t going to work on Jeanette’s house no more.” Remeber Magie’s Farm? That home had seven bedrooms and large rooms.
We moved back to California with too much stuff. I had to learn to get rid of my treasures. I discovered the advantages of minimalism the hard way.
Let me also share that I tried the popular book on minimalism and went crazy with piles. The worst, my clothes piled on my bed. I cound’t handle those methods.
